Our original plan was to get up and watch the sunrise, however we were completely exhausted from traveling down here and when we did wake up, it was pretty dark and stormy out. The rain didn’t let up for a bit, but when we did get up, we grabbed some breakfast at the hotel and then boarded the shuttle the hotel provided for us to get to down town Key West. We shopped around, and went hunting for the best Key Lime Pie. We tried several places throughout and came to the conclusion that Kermit’s Key Lime Pie was the best we had in terms of price, taste, and atmosphere. I’ll post a little tid bit on the other places we tried, too. Afterwards we ended up heading back to the hotel to relax as it was extremely hot and humid out. Once it cooled off, we took the shuttle back out to get some dinner at Hog’s Breath Saloon and then to bar hop a bit before calling it a night. By that point we were both feeling pretty numb and decided to order some Domino’s for a late night snack. The pizza hit the spot and soon after that we were out before leaving the next day to head up towards Key Largo.
