Well, we made it to Atlanta. It took a bit longer to park than expected, but still made it… The Georgia Aquarium. This aquarium has been on my domestic bucket list for a while, mainly for the Whale Shark. The morning was a little hectic with the amount of people coming in, and I knew it was only going to get worse. As soon as we got in, my husband followed me straight to the whale shark tank so we could try to get some pictures before it became ridiculously crowded. We then made (free) reservations for the dolphin and sea lion show (both of which were “sold out” by 1100). We got to visit a few exhibits before we headed towards the dolphin show. The dolphin show, though similar to many other dolphin shows at aquariums around the country, had its own unique tricks added in (synchronized swimming to Thunderstruck was my favorite). After the show, we walked around the remaining exhibits we hadn’t gotten to yet and grabbed a small bite from the cafe before we killed enough time to head into the Sea Lion show. I found the Sea Lion show very unique and very entertaining. We even got to learn about their one rescued sea lion who is unable to return to the wild due to bullet fragments lodged in his skull (sad, yes, but he is definitely loving his life now!). After the show we scoped out the gift shop where I purchased my regular souvenir of a shot glass to add to the collection. Then we headed out and towards Buc-ee’s in Aldaisville, GA. We felt better napping at Buc-ee’s than some of the rest stops so it worked out well for us. After that, we started making our long journey back north to pick up our pups from my mothers house before continuing onwards to home. Hopefully all goes well 🤞

This post was delayed by accident due to internet not uploading and me not finding out until much later. Oops :)
